Walgreens is equipped to treat comorbidities, or the presence of two or more medical conditions, of HIV patients.
The pharmacy chain has given its pharmicists special training in the treatment of diabates, high cholesterol, hepatitis C, and other chronic diseases that affect those living with the virus.
At present, Walgreens has 700 HIV-specialized pharmacies across the country.
