California Dreaming: AIDS LifeCycle, Day 4
Plus contributing editor David Duran (pictured above) is participating in his third AIDS/LifeCycle as part of the press corps and will be documenting each day of the 7-day scenic ride with images from photographer Georg Lester, as well as recaps on what actually goes on each day during the ride, at the rest stops and at camp.
Each year, thousands of cyclists ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles as part of the AIDS/LifeCycle, the world's largest annual HIV fundraiser. The landmark 545-mile ride has raised $220 million during it's 15 year run, and this year is set to raise another $16 million, which goes to HIV services at the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Participants are ages 18 to 83, and they come from nearly every state and 17 countries.
