1. Shop Your Side Effects
Once you’ve already proven your adherence, you can shop your side effects. This one might cause diarrhea. This one might cause insomnia. I say might because most of those side effects are usually less than 20 percent of patients. But, if it does, that will be side effect, so we can find one that works better for you. We can easily switch. I think it’s just a matter of we switch, no harm, no fail. We switch, it doesn’t work out, we switch to something else. You have choices. It’s become that much better in terms of treatment options. I really try to emphasize that to them. It’s not like before where a miracle came out, you have to stay on this. No. You’ve gone way beyond that.
