A federal grant to Chicago's Test Positive Aware Network for HIV programs targeting communities of color has been cut by about 77% because of an overall reduction in government grants to Chicago. The grant, issued from the Ryan White Minority AIDS Initiative and earmarked for treatment adherence programs, was slashed by $125,000 as part of an overall 53% cut in the initiative's funding to the area.
