Although data show that gay and bisexual men worldwide are 19 times more likely to be infected with HIV than the general population, most of the world's nations either don't offer prevention programs targeting men who have sex with men or, if they do have such initiatives, they have no idea if they're effective, according to the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS. Of 128 nations surveyed, 44% failed to provide any data at all on men who have sex with men, and of the nations who did report services for gay men, 77% had no information as to their scope or effectiveness.
