Paps Are Proved Effective

A new study suggests HIV-positive women shouldn't skip routine Pap tests. There had been some concern that the tests were inaccurate for HIVers, but a study of nearly 300 women reported in the February 15 issue of Clinical Infectious Diseases has shown that the tests successfully detect early signs of cervical cancer, an AIDS-defining condition, in HIV-positive women.
