Alexandra Billings, a transgender actress who stars on Transparent, is out about her experiences as a long-term survivor of HIV because she hopes to help educate people and reduce stigma around the virus, the transmission of which can now be prevented with the use of PrEP (a preventative medication) and treatment of those who are HIV-positive.
Billings and her Transparent co-star Trace Lysette are on the cover of (and interviewed in) Plus's January/February issue, which is out in December.
