For this episode of Plus’s video series, “The Talk,” we connect with four inspiring individuals on how they found emotional wellness after learning of their HIV status. It’s easy to feel alone when going through anything difficult in life, but finding out your status doesn’t mean you have to go through anything alone. Finding someone to support you is important for mental health, but even if you can’t, you can still reclaim who you are regardless of your status. And these individuals have a lot of great advice for anyone who feels like they’re dealing with their status alone. “HIV is not something you can fight alone, talk to anybody,” teacher Adrian Santos starts. “It doesn’t have to be a therapist, it can be anyone that knows and loves you. It makes living with HIV – living. I get to live.” Watch the video to learn more.
