The Oscars aren't just Hollywood's most coveted honors and most glamorous awards show — they are also reason to host fabulous parties. And one of the best parties is Elton John's annual Academy Awards Viewing Party held at West Hollywood Park. Since 1992, the famous singer and his hubby have been hosting these million dollar charity parties each year to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
The EJAF foundations (one in the US, one in England) have raised more than $325 million to combat stigma, prevent infections, provide treatment and services, and motivate governments to end AIDS. This year’s event raised $5.8 million for the fight and featured an amazing five course meal by chef Wayne Elias collaborating with Masterchef star Gordon Ramsay (and the Crumble Catering team of more than 200 cooks, servers, and bartenders).
