Number 1 AIDS is the leading public-health priority among people living in sub-Saharan Africa and in Asia, both areas that have been hard-hit by the disease, according to a global health survey by the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and the Pew Global Attitudes Project. In other developing regions, AIDS was among the top seven health issues cited by those surveyed in Latin America, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe. More than 45,000 people worldwide participated.
