For this episode of Plus’s video series, “The Talk,” we connect with four inspiring individuals on their visions for the future, specifically in regard to their health. Our panelists describe the hopefulness they carry with them as scientific advances continue to improve treatment and prevention options. In addition to newly-approved injectable treatments that will end the need for daily pills, one of our panelists believes a cure may be on the horizon. Even if that doesn’t come to pass, their diagnoses have shown them anything is possible. “HIV showed me how strong I was, that I have power inside of me,” says Kerry, who works in HIV prevention. “And that I have to yield that power to help others."
