Moderate exercise resulted in improvements in artery flexibility, nervous system activity linked with heart rate, and responses to blood pressure changes. The lead researcher concluded that 'moderate aerobic exercise'may be a cost-effective supplemental therapy, with improved physiological function as the only side effect.'
