Project Angel Food's annual fundraiser is a must for pop art fans.
Art lovers get ready to spend for the cause, on June 1, at the annual GET ART fundraising event at Siren@Orange Studio in Hollywood, Calif. GET ART, which features art from new and local artists who have donated their work for the cause, will help raise money for Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that provides daily meals for those disabled or homebound by HIV/AIDS.
Art collectors and enthusiasts alike will be thrilled to find art the event celebrates Andy Warhol's Silver Factory this year, with pieces ranging from photography to mixed media, paintings, and sculptures. The majority of pieces will be priced from $50 to $500 and blend with the pop art theme, though there are a few items of interest for very seasoned collectors.
Shots from celebrity photographer Lionel Deluy will be showcased, including portraits of 50 Cent (above right), Snoop Dog/Lion, Ice Cube, and Damien Marley.
Other works available will be "Marilyn Orange" (top left) by Leah Devora; "Eclectic Tomorrow" (above left) by Terri Berman; "Andy" (below left) by Kirsten Ulve; "Charles Bukowski Woodcut Print" (below right) by Loren Kantor; Patty Hearst as Tanya by Chris B. Jones (top right).
The evening will also include live art experiences from Ryan Motel Campbell, Max Neutra, and Allison Torneros; music from DJ Paul V; and a performance from electro-pop group Hi-Fashion, previewing their much-anticipated upcoming new EP You Are Gorgeous.
