Viramune May Lower Transmission Risks

So your blood-based HIV viral load is undetectable. But what about your semen? Studies have shown that about 5% of HIV-positive men have detectable HIV in their semen despite blood-based levels that are nil. And now Australian researchers may have found the best anti-HIV drug for these men: Viramune. Their analysis showed that Viramune better penetrated the blood-testes barrier than other NNRTIs or protease inhibitors, and was detected at higher concentrations in semen than the other anti-HIV meds.
