Ever wondered why you're more likely to crave dessert than a salad? It could be in your genes, according to a study in The New England Journal of Medicine. Children carrying the gene variant were shown to eat the same amount of food as children without the variant, but tended to consume about 100 extra calories at each meal by preferring foods higher in calories, sugars, and fat.
