Aaron Laxton took a few weeks off of work to process his HIV diagnosis. In this video, he says, “It’s time to go back, time to start being productive again.” Additionally, he mentions that his rash side effect caused by taking the HIV medication, Atripla, has gotten better since the last video.

Laxton brings up a key point when dealing with HIV, “If you sit down and just feel sorry for yourself, you’re ending your life right there. But this doesn’t have to end your life.”

Since his diagnosis, Laxton gave a speech at a youth empowerment conference, and reflects on how he was embraced by the 300 adults and youth who were there to listen to him.
