The American Civil Liberties Union filed a legal challenge in April to the Drug Enforcement Administration's policy of obstructing research that could lead to marijuana being approved as a prescription medicine. The suit says government rules prevent researchers from obtaining research-grade marijuana. A federal court hearing was scheduled for late summer.
