HELLO: Marjorie J. Hill, former New York City assistant health commissioner and head of Gay Men's Health Crisis' Women's Institute, has been appointed interim director of GMHC while the organization searches for a permanent director. GOODBYE: Larry Kessler, founding director of the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, will step down on April 30 after 23 years with the organization. He founded the agency in 1983 and served as its executive director through 2003. HELLO: Rebecca Haag on March 1 assumed dual leadership roles with both the Washington, D.C. advocacy group AIDS Action and the AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. HAAG has served as head of the Massachusetts group for three years, and served as a board member for Action AIDS since 2003. GOODBYE: Kim Moss in March announced his resignation as executive director of Memphis-based Friends for Life. He is credited with wiping out $600,000 in debt and helping the agency relocate to a new headquarters during his six-year tenure. HELLO: Tadataka Yamada, head of research and development at GlaxoSmithKline, will leave the pharmaceutical firm on June 1 to become the new executive director of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation's global health program.
