After years of budget shortfalls, waiting lists, and reduced formularies at many of the state-run AIDS Drug Assistance Programs, there's finally some good news: A survey has found that waiting lists nationwide have been nearly eliminated. In early April there were only five HIV-positive adults on a waiting list for Montana's ADAP and no waiting lists in any other state. Sadly, though, health officials expect the lists to return later this year due to cuts in state spending and HIVers losing their jobs'and their health in'surance'as unemployment continues to climb nationwide.
