>Of the new HIV cases recorded from 2001 to 2006 in states with names-based reporting, 46% were in men who have sex with men; 4% more were in MSM who also inject drugs. >New infections among MSM rose 1.5% each year. >New diagnoses among MSM ages 13 to 24 rose 12.4% each year. >New diagnoses among black MSM ages 13 to 24 rose 14.9% annually. >New HIV cases decreased by 4.4% per year among injection-drug users and by 9.5% annually among heterosexuals.
