A gay dating app revealed some fun and interesting facts in a recent campaign.

In December of last year, Sniffies, a popular map-based meetup app for gay, bisexual, and curious men, announced its Sniffies Unwrapped campaign. The year-end campaign launched on TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube, and featured categories like Horniest City, Most Popular Type of Group, and Most Popular Cruising Location.

“Sniffies users made [2022] our best yet,” said chief marketing officer and creative director Eli Martin in a press release when the campaign was announced. “As we close the year out, we’re raising a toast to all the kinksters and cruisers that have spent time on the map chasing their curiosity and exploring their favorite fetishes.”

As to some of the data’s results, New York City took the top spot for the Horniest City in the U.S., closely followed by Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta. The same five cities were the top spots for the Hospitality Award, although Los Angeles took the crown for that. The U.K. came in as the Horniest Country outside of the U.S., followed by Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, and Mexico.

San Jose, Calif., took the title for Rookie of the Year after seeing 1,394 percent growth in area users, and its neighbor San Francisco took the spot for Most Adventurous. Groups, porn, and edging were among the most valued kinks.

While Atlanta took the spot for the Cruisiest City, the nation’s capital took the award for the Most Discreet City. Parks and bars were among the most popular scenes, with those identifying as vers or vers-bottom being the Most Popular Attitudes.

The company say its hoping 2023 will be “Sniffies’ horniest year yet.”
