To commemorate World AIDS Day, AIDS Healthcare Foundation has announced their Around the Globe in a Day initiative to continue spreading awareness about HIV and AIDS around the world.
Free concerts will take place in Cambodia, Mexico City, and the United states, and free testing will be held throughout selected cities in the U.S., Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Asia.
AHF's Keep the Promise march and concert will take place today in Hollywood, and will be hosted by the grande dame herself, Rosie Perez — now that’s a ticket!
Festivities begin with a Keep the Promise march down Hollywood Boulevard, leading to the Dolby Theater where there will be a free concert with performances by Patti Labelle, Common, JoJo, Espinoza Paz, B-Flow, Jencarlos Canela, and more. Harry Belafonte will also be receiving AHF’s Lifetime Achievement Award tonight for his efforts and advocacy around the world.
The gathering begins at 5pm on Schrader Blvd, south of Hollywood Blvd. Those who march will be given priority seating for the concert, according to organizers, which begins at 7pm.
