The Part of California With the Highest AIDS-Related Deaths May Surprise You
Turns out cities you'd expect to have high death rates, like San Francisco and Los Angeles, simply don't.
This new map from Graphiq shows that parts of Southern California have very low rates of death from AIDS-related causes, with Orange County among the lowest. But parts of Central California, particularly Fresno County, has the state's highest death rate, in part, advocates say, because of lack of treatment resources are compounded by limited testing and higher addiction rates.
