Housing Works Post-Irene Labor Love

Housing Works, the New York City-based organization that provides homes and health care to HIV-positive homeless youth, is throwing its second annual "Labor of Love" fundraiser on Saturday in Fire Island Pines.

The event, from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., will feature entertainment and an ocean-front pool party.

"Labor of Love brings the community of Fire Island together to show their support for a great cause and have a really good time," Juan Herrera, Housing Works Thrift Board Chair and Vice President for the Office of Global Inclusion for MTV Networks. "Now in its second year, we are happy to turn up the entertainment adding two live performances from Neon Hitch and Janice Robinson along with music by DJ Corey Craig. All the proceeds benefit a new generation of youth living with HIV and AIDS."
