A 2-in-1 Hep B Test Gets Approval

A new two-in-one test that combines both screening and confirmatory results for hepatitis B should streamline the review of donated blood and organs. The Food and Drug Administration approved the test for the virus in people who donate blood, blood components, and organs. It also can be used to screen blood from cadavers used to supply organs and tissue.
