The Food and Drug Administration is warning against the use of the dietary supplement Xiadafil VIP, which is commonly sold as an over-the-counter treatment for erectile dysfunction or as a sexual enhancer. The compound contains the same active ingredient found in Viagra, which can cause a life-threatening drop in blood pressure among men taking medications to control diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease'all of which are common conditions among HIVers.
