As of January 1, HIVers who are dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare will be automatically enrolled in the Medicare drug plan. All U.S. residents will have at least two prescription plans to choose from, and federal regulations require every participating plan to offer all antiretrovirals. Plan information will be available online at www.cms.gov or www.medicare.gov and will be mailed to participants beginning in October. But a warning: If you don't choose a plan by the end of the year, the government will arbitrarily pick one for you.
