Aaron Laxton's My HIV Journey: "I'm Still Aaron Even Though I'm HIV Positive"

Aaron Laxton talks through the reactions that he’s received since his HIV diagnosis from those that have given support, and those who have separated themselves from his life. Aaron states that the diagnosis is only one small part of his life, and does not change the person he is. Yet he was rejected by his best friend when he told them about his status. Throughout the video, he urges allies and loved ones to think about not letting an HIV positive status to get in the way of a relationship.

He confides, “When you’re first diagnosed, it’s one of the loneliest places to be.”
