CDC Expands Exposure Protocols

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expanded its HIV postexposure prophylaxis recommendations in January to include urging antiretroviral treatment for anyone exposed to the virus by rape, accident, or occasional drug use or unsafe sex.
