A survey of African-Americans who live in inner-city areas of Dallas and Houston has shown that condom use is spotty at best, according to a study published in the June issue of Sexually Transmitted Infections. ' 29.5%: Respondents reporting high rates of consistent use with casual partners. ' 31.4%: Respondents reporting consistent use with steady partners. Married people and those with a history of sexually transmitted diseases were the least likely to use condoms with a steady partner, while older people were less likely to use condoms with casual partners.
