Many men are open about their dislike of condoms, and now researchers in Atlanta have a better idea why some African-American men are less likely to use them'they don't fit. A survey of 178 black men who have sex with men reported in the journal Sexually Transmitted Infections found that 21% reported condoms being too tight and 18% saying they feel too short. Many also reported condoms fit too loosely (10%) or felt too long (7%). Because condoms are available today in a variety of widths, thicknesses, and lengths (and colors and textures too), men are encouraged to experiment with different brands and sizes until they find one that's right for them rather than simply trying'and discarding'standard-size love gloves that fit poorly.
