Beware of Breast-feeding?

Planning on breast-feeding your newborn? A study in the journal AIDS might change your mind. It showed that HIV-positive women on successful antiretroviral regimens can still have detectable levels of HIV in breast milk. The virus was significantly suppressed by the drugs but was present at low levels in some of the women studied. Immune system cells already infected with HIV also were detected, which pose a similar infection risk, according to researchers.
