New Gay Times Issue: No Clothes, Lots of Charity

Dozens of guys stripped down to raise money for HIV/AIDS advocacy.

Our friends across the pond at Gay Times never fail to deliver. This year's Naked Issue features actors, athletes, reality show contestants, dancers, and boy bands, with proceeds going to the Terrence Higgins Trust, one of the U.K.'s most prominent HIV/AIDS charities.

If you're lucky enough to pick up a copy of the magazine, you can send a text, donating £3 (or $4.75), and in return you'll get a photo of whichever subject you indicate. Gay Timeswill also auction off signed copies of the magazine to raise even more for the trust.

"With an unprecedented squeeze on government coffers, the money the state sets aside for HIV and sexual health can only go so far," said Sir Nick Partridge, chief executive of the Terrence Higgins Trust. "Just last year, for example, our helpline THT Direct faced closure when its funding was cut. We managed to keep it open but, from now on, ensuring this service remains open tohelp people who have serious concerns about HIV or their sexual health is going to depend entirely on public donations."
