HIV-positive Olympian Ji Wallace raised $3,800 this Sunday upon completing the Los Angeles Marathon. Wallace ran the marathon with his fiancé Shaun Baldwin for AIDS Project Los Angeles's Team 2 End AIDS, and surpassed his original goal of raising $1,600.
Wallace finished the marathon in 6:05:32. He said he wanted to join the Team 2 End AIDS because he wanted to do "something that's not only physically challenging for me, but also beneficial to APLA's clients."
Wallace, an Australian athlete, competed at the 2000 games in Sydney, and won the silver medal in trampoline gymnastics.
