Michael Kaplan, President of AIDS United, and Phill Wilson, President of the Black AIDS Institute, just dropped in on Katie Couric's morning talk show to discuss the challenges facing people living with HIV today. The two men start off with very personal accounts of their own experiences living with HIV for the last few decades but also address Donald Sterling's recent attack on Magic Johnson and the growing rate of HIV infection among young African-Americans. The conversation emphasizes the need for increased education, screening, and access to treatment and includes a plethora of vital statistics about the current state of the HIV epidemic in America.
