New HBV Test Approved

Abbott Laboratories has announced that its Abbott RealTime HBV test, which measures the amount of hepatitis B virus in a patient's blood, has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The company said the test is meant to monitor patients who are receiving antiviral therapy for chronic HBV infection.
