Philanthropic organization God's Love We Deliver is still without power, but that's not stopping its staff and volunteers from making sure that its clients in need don't go without food.
The organization, which provides meals and services for people who are largely sick with certain illnesses like HIV or cancer, will help people in the wake of Hurricane Sandy after it's ravaged the Northeast, specifically the New York City and New Jersey area. God's Love We Deliver is partnering up with the NYC Office of Emergency Management to donate frozen meals the center has on deck to support people who have been evacuated or are currently in shelters due to the hurricane.
God's Love We Deliver is also working to make "Sandy Bags" full of non-perishable food like tuna fish, oatmeal, and granola bars. The bags will be distributed throughout the weekend.Â
