Strength in Numbers was named outstanding community organization at the 2005 WeHo Awards, held December 1 in Los Angeles. They salute achievements by gay and lesbian Los Angeles-area individuals and organizations. SIN beat out fellow nominees Being Alive, Equality California, Gay and Lesbian Elder Housing, L.A. Youth Support Services, The Wall: Las Memorias, Trevor Project, and the WeHo Church in its category. SIN founder Bryan Levinson also was nominated as outstanding community volunteer.

Ryan is the Digital Director of The Advocate Channel, and a graduate of NYU Tisch's Department of Dramatic Writing. She is also a member of GALECA, the LGBTQ+ society of entertainment critics.
