J.C. Penney Accused of Discrimination
A former shoe department manager at a J.C. Penney store in Niles, Ill., has filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming he was fired from his job because he is HIV-positive. Joseph Manasse says he was falsely accused of theft and then fired because his HIV infection made managers uncomfortable. Manasse is seeking more than $7 million in damages.
