Native Americans, Latinos, sex workers, and disabled people are often missed by HIV services. Some of the difficulties these folks face — and what can be done in response.

When the media speaks about people living with HIV, typically the focus is on gay and bi men. But too often overlooked in the conversation are individuals at equal risk, as well as other communities already living with HIV.

These include Latinos, Native Americans, sex workers, drug users, trans (and cis) women, Asian-Americans, and so many more. We spoke with a few folks who are making inroads with outside-the-box ideas.
